Who We Are

MYREVVA LIMITED is committed to ensuring your privacy is properly protected. Revva is a social media platform which enables: (a) "Creators" to share and monetize their own content; (b) "Fans" to subscribe to, and view, the content of Creators. Creators can also subscribe to, and view, the content of other Creators. Both Creators and Fans are called "Users".

This Privacy Policy applies to Revva apps, websites, software and related services (Platform) accessed via any platform or device that links to this Privacy Policy.

02

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and retain data. It also contains an explanation of your rights. The Policy is written in simple language to make our practices easier to understand.

We process your personal data when you use our Revva app and website (Platforms) located on www.myrevva.com and for the provision of any services that we may offer from time to time via our Platforms. We are a "data controller" of the personal data that we process through the Platforms.

Please review this Policy to understand how we process your personal data. By using our Platforms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal data as described in this Policy.

03

What Is Personal Data

Personal Data means any data relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("Data Subject"). This can be anything from a name, address, photo, email address, bank details, posts on social networking websites, medical data, and other unique identifiers such as MAC address, IP address, IMEI number, IMSI number, SIM, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and others.

We may also collect data that is not capable of identifying you or is otherwise not associated or linked with you, such as de-identified, aggregated or anonymised data. This type of data is not personal data and our use of such data is not subject to this Policy.

04

Applicability of This Policy

This Policy is applicable to every User of the Revva Platform.

05

Third Party Links

Our Website may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share personal data about you.

We are not responsible for, and this Policy does not apply to, the content, security or privacy practices of those other websites, plug-ins or applications. We encourage you to view the privacy and cookie policies of those third parties to find out how your personal data may be used.

06

Data We Collect

We collect data such as name, username, password, date of birth, email address and/or telephone number, means of identity verification, your photograph or profile video upon registration, comments, hashtags, messages, live streams, reviews, and associated descriptor data such as when, where, and by whom content was created.

We also collect data from mobile devices for a better user experience (these features are completely optional):

  • Phonebook (Contacts list)

Allows our service to be much more easy to use by identifying people you already know.

  • Camera (Pictures and Videos)

Granting camera permission allows you to upload pictures and videos directly. You can safely deny this permission.

  • Photo Gallery

Allows you to upload pictures or videos from your gallery. You can safely deny this access.

07

How We Use Your Data

Any data we collect from you may be used in the following ways:

  • 01To personalise your experience and curate content most likely to be engaging for you.
  • 02To enhance your experience — showing relevant content, suggesting connections, and customising features.
  • 03To improve our services based on feedback and data we receive.
  • 04To facilitate communication between users, such as direct messaging, comments and reactions.
  • 05To improve customer service and respond to your requests.
  • 06To process transactions when money is paid to subscribe for content.
  • 07To help users customise their profiles.
08

Do We Share Your Data with Third Parties

We may share your data with the following categories of recipients:

Professional Advisers

Legal advisors, bankers, auditors, accountants, insurers and consultants — where necessary for our legitimate interest in receiving professional services.

Service Providers

Cloud service providers, IT, payment processors and transaction fulfillment providers. This includes analytics partners who may use your IP address to estimate general location and usage patterns.

Advertisers and Measurement Partners

To show how many and which users have viewed or clicked on an advertisement. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

Corporate Transactions

In the case of a possible sale, merger, acquisition or partnership — user data may be among the transferred assets.

Regulators and Legal Authorities

The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) and other relevant authorities in compliance with legal obligations, to enforce our Terms, or to detect and prevent fraud or security issues.

09

Lawful Basis for Processing

By obtaining your consent, or where necessary for the performance of a contract, or where legitimate interest is involved, we have a lawful basis to process the personal data of users of the Platform.

10

Your Rights Regarding Personal Data

As a data subject, you have certain rights regarding the collection and processing of your data. You may:

  • ◉Delete or deactivate your account
  • ◉Update or correct your personally identifiable data
  • ◉Change your communications preferences

11

How We Protect Your Data

We take precautions to protect the security of your data. We implement physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and prevent unauthorized access.

We use a secure server (MongoDB and AWS), 256-BIT encryption, and SSL technology for all sensitive data transmission. After a transaction, your private card data is never kept on file.

While we use reasonable efforts to protect your personal data, no security system is foolproof. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to reasonable efforts and prompt disclosure in the event of any breach.

12

Retention of Personal Data

We only retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Personal data is deleted within a 6-month window from the date of account deletion. When legal retention periods have elapsed, data is destroyed, anonymised or archived.

13

User Accounts

During account creation, we may collect Know Your Customer (KYC) data including National Identification Number (NIN), Bank Verification Number (BVN), and account number — to ensure a safer environment for all users.

We implement Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) and email alerts to protect account security. You can update your account details through profile settings, or delete your account through the designated Delete/Deactivate Account page.

14

Payment & Revenue

We employ the Paystack payment platform to facilitate transactions. Creators earn income through a 70% (Creator) / 30% (Revva) split on content earnings and tips. All fees are exclusive of VAT and processing fees.

We collect and store users' banking data for payment processing. Card data is collected but not stored for security reasons.

15

Cookies

We use cookies to identify the areas of our Services that you have visited and to personalise the content you see. We never place personally identifiable data in cookies.

16

The minimum age to use Revva is 18 years. We do not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from people under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
